1. Overview

Grace ("we", "our", or "the app") is a shared grocery list app. We are committed to being transparent about the limited data we collect and how it is used. This policy explains what information we store and why.

2. What Data We Collect

You provide directly:

• A display name (e.g. "Alex")
• An avatar color you choose from a preset palette
• Grocery items, quantities, and notes you add to your list
• Comments you write on list items

Collected automatically:

• A randomly generated anonymous user ID (created on first launch — no email or password is ever required)
• Group membership information (which group you belong to, via invite code)
• Activity log entries (e.g. "Alex added Milk") visible to members of your group
• Timestamps on actions (item added, checked, commented on)

We do not collect:

• Your real name, email address, or phone number
• Location data
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
